Big Trouble In Florida For Nyesom Wike As EFCC Enters Case
NYESOM WIKE TO RESIGN AS FCT MINISTER OR FACE EFCC FOR MONEY LAUNDERING VIA HOUSE OWNERSHIP IN THE US USING FAMILY MEMBERS AS PROXY
Abuja, Nigeria -
Controversy surrounds FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over allegations of secretly purchasing a $2 million mansion in Florida, United States, using family members as proxies.
According to documents, the property was acquired in March 2025 under the names of Wike's wife, Justice Eberechi Wike, and their children, Joaquin, Jazmyne, and Jordan.
The development has sparked calls for Wike's resignation or investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over suspected money laundering and illicit enrichment.
Sources close to the matter revealed that Wike's annual salary and allowances of about ₦7.8 million (approximately $5,000) cannot justify the purchase of such a luxurious property.
The allegations have also raised questions about Wike's asset declaration and transparency, given his alleged omission of his name from the purchase documents.
As the controversy deepens, Wike faces mounting pressure to either resign from his position as FCT Minister or face EFCC investigation over the alleged money laundering and corruption.
The development has sparked widespread outrage and calls for accountability among public officials.
Remembering that it was this same NYESOM WIKE who at a time on Channels TV disregardingly accused the wife of Buhari's transport minister Rotimi Amaechi for collecting payments illegally from the NDDC for Rivers State Women empowerment projects. It's just like pot calling a kettle black when he himself is the person involved in such crimes.
Over time, Wike is known for notoriously accusing people for wrong doings anytime they cross his path politically.
WIKE is seen as a talkative and someone who is unfit to hold the position of a minister of the federal Republic if the truth needs to be told for reasons displayed so far by his character of political rasciality and disrespect for the rule of law operating in two political parties at the same time.
We are waiting to see what the president is going to do on this matter moving forward if we really want the nation to get out of this economic hardship. Sighting the president Bola Tinubu government that must understand the fact that it's time the citizens of Nigeria see him as a father to the nation and not as a cartel leader who covers all the wrongs mounted on the nation by his cronies.
Already the Bola Tinubu group has been tagged as the most corrupt regime Nigeria ever witnessed in history where Ministers loot, commit financial crimes and would be protected by the president himself.
For the people, it's either for Wike to resign or faces the EFCC for looting and illegal acquiring of landed properties by proxy in the United States with funds suspected to belong to FCT administration.
